Privacy Policy

FrameCompose ("we", "us") is a web-based video editor at www.framecompose.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It covers both the web application and the FrameCompose Recorder Click Bridge browser extension.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We use these to create and secure your account.
- Your content. Videos, images, audio, recordings, and projects you upload or create are stored in your private, user-scoped storage so we can provide the editor. Your content is yours — we do not use it for advertising or sell it.
- Payment information. Subscriptions and credit purchases are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details; we keep only subscription status and billing references.
- Usage analytics. We use PostHog to understand how features are used (for example, which editor tools are clicked) so we can improve the product.
- Error reports. We use Sentry to collect crash and error diagnostics (browser version, stack traces, and related technical context) to fix bugs.
The Recorder Click Bridge browser extension
The extension exists for a single purpose: making your own screen recordings better. It adds smooth-cursor rendering, click highlights, auto-zoom, and click-aware captions to recordings you capture with the FrameCompose recorder.
- What it collects, and only while you are recording: pointer positions, click coordinates, the accessible label and approximate size of controls you click, the page origin and path (without query strings or fragments), and the page title of the tab being recorded.
- Where it goes: this data is forwarded to your FrameCompose editor session and associated with the recording in your account, so the editor can place zooms, highlights, and captions at the right moments.
- What it does not do:it does not collect browsing history, page contents, keystrokes' text, passwords, or form values; it does not track you outside an active recording session; it does not show ads; and the data is never sold or used for purposes unrelated to the recording features above.
- Limited Use. Our use of data collected by the extension complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
AI processing
Some features send content to AI providers to do their job: text-to-speech voiceovers, AI editing suggestions, and transcription. Only the content needed for the requested feature is sent (for example, the script text for a voiceover or the audio track for captions). These providers process the data to provide the service and do not gain rights to your content.
How long we keep data
- Projects and media: kept until you delete them. Deleting a project deletes its media files from storage.
- Account: kept while your account is active. Email us to delete your account and associated data.
- Analytics and error data: retained according to PostHog and Sentry retention settings, then deleted.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers that run FrameCompose (cloud hosting, storage, Stripe for payments, PostHog for analytics, Sentry for error tracking, and AI providers for the features described above), each bound to process it only on our instructions.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under UK and EU GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email goodgodgeorge@gmail.com.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
