Why this works

The reveal hides inside a question only someone standing there could ask. One impossible detail, the cat on the vending machine, says “I’m here” without saying it and lets her (and the reader) work it out.

Short, stunned replies like “Please tell me you’re really here” sell the moment better than a speech.

How it plays as a video

This story has 16 messages, so “Make this a video” opens it as 16 chat clips and 15 typing pauses, about 79 seconds long before you change any timing.

Slow down before the brave reply. A longer pause there makes the reader wait the way the character did. Add optional narration or music, then export. Keeping the video uses a free FrameCompose account, and the chat images are drawn from the text, so preparing the clips uses no AI image credits.
