This fictional wedding reveal uses the same message renderer and starting timings as the tool: six message clips and five typing pauses. No generated AI imagery or narration is needed for these chat images.

Read the exact fictional conversation
Maya: The venue just cancelled our booking
Me: That makes no sense - I paid yesterday
Maya: You paid the old account
Me: The account you sent me?
Maya: I never sent an account
Me: Then who has been replying from your number?

In a video project, each message and pause stays editable. Create a free account, choose “Make this a video”, then adjust the reading time before exporting. Optional voices, music or generated media have their own controls and costs.

Make it match your own phone

This page opens in a light Messages-app style: a white background, a very pale blue header, soft grey-blue bubbles for the other person and light blue bubbles for you, all with dark text. Google Messages colors can change with each phone’s theme, so yours may look a little different.

To match it, open the style menu above the chat, choose Custom colors and set the background, header, left bubble and right bubble. The preview, the downloaded image and the video clips all use your colors.

Wrong numbers, first texts and phone feuds

Texting stories live in small awkward moments. Someone asks whether the garden gnome is ready for rehearsal, the wrong person replies, and now both are committed to the joke. A parent sends their first ever text and signs it "Love, Dad" in full. Texts are short, so give every line a job and let the last one change what the viewer believes.

Then there is the green-versus-blue bubble joke: one friend on Android, one on iPhone and a running argument about whose messages look better. Let the characters argue about their phones while missing the much bigger misunderstanding in the conversation.

Make your texts a vertical video

Press "Make this a video" and the thread becomes clips, one per text, with a typing pause between messages. They land in order on an editable timeline, set up as a 9:16 video for Shorts, TikTok and Reels.

Texts live on timing. Make the pause before a reply longer, trim one that drags, and add narration or music if the story wants it. Keeping the finished video uses a free FrameCompose account. The chat clips are drawn from your text with no AI image model involved, so preparing them uses no AI image credits.

Texts for stories, not for proof

A fake text image is a way to tell a story. It is not proof that anyone sent anything, so use invented names and numbers. Do not make a text look like it came from a bank, a carrier, a delivery company or any other real service, do not imitate real people, and say in your caption that the story is fiction.

FrameCompose is not affiliated with Google or Android. The soft blue is a look for fictional stories, not a copy of any app.

Frequently asked questions

A few quick answers before you jump in.

Is this fake Android text message generator free?

Yes. Writing, previewing and downloading the chat image are free with no account. Keeping it as a video uses a free FrameCompose account.

Do I need an app to make a fake Android text message?

No. It runs in your browser on a phone or a computer. Write the conversation, preview it and download a watermark-free image without installing anything or making an account.

Why do Google Messages colors look different on my phone?

Google Messages colors can change with each phone’s theme, so no single palette matches every phone. Start from this page’s soft blue, then open the style menu above the chat, choose Custom colors and set the background, header, left bubble and right bubble to match yours.

Can I download a fake Android text conversation as an image?

Yes. Write the fictional exchange, check the preview and press Download image to save the whole conversation as one PNG in your colors. Previewing and downloading the image need no account.

Can I write a wrong-number story?

Yes. Name the other person Unknown or anything you invent and write the exchange. Or open the story starters under the buttons and pick Wrong-number mystery to load a full example with your colors kept.

Can I rewrite a text once the video is made?

Yes. Open Edit conversation in the media bin, rewrite the message and press Update images. Only the affected chat images redraw, and your timing edits stay where you put them.

Put your conversation on the timeline

Open your conversation as image clips and typing pauses on an editable timeline. Narration and music are optional.
