This fictional wedding reveal uses the same message renderer and starting timings as the tool: six message clips and five typing pauses. No generated AI imagery or narration is needed for these chat images.

Read the exact fictional conversation
Maya: The venue just cancelled our booking
Me: That makes no sense - I paid yesterday
Maya: You paid the old account
Me: The account you sent me?
Maya: I never sent an account
Me: Then who has been replying from your number?

In a video project, each message and pause stays editable. Create a free account, choose “Make this a video”, then adjust the reading time before exporting. Optional voices, music or generated media have their own controls and costs.

Discord-style dark colors

This page opens with the Discord preset: a dark grey background, a darker header and blurple messages for your side of the chat. You can change the background, header and each person’s bubble color.

It is a chat-bubble layout in Discord colors, not a copy of Discord’s interface: no server list, usernames or profile photos, just the contact’s initial and name in the header. The preview, the image download and the video clips all match.

Stories that fit a Discord conversation

Gaming drama, a moderator catching someone out, a teammate who throws the match on purpose, a stranger who knows a little too much: Discord stories run on fast, casual replies, so keep messages short and let the tension build reply by reply.

The tool shows a two-person conversation, like a direct message, rather than a busy server channel. Tell a channel story through the two people at its centre.

From a Discord chat to a video

When the conversation reads right, press "Make this a video". Every message becomes its own image clip of the Discord-style thread up to that bubble, with a short typing pause before it, already in order on an editable timeline.

Trim the pauses, add optional narration or music, then export with a free FrameCompose account. The chat images are drawn directly, not requested from an AI image model, so preparing the clips costs nothing.

Use fictional chats responsibly

A Discord-style image is a storytelling format, not evidence. Use invented names, do not impersonate real people or communities, and label fictional stories clearly.

FrameCompose is not affiliated with Discord. The colors are a style choice for fictional stories.

Frequently asked questions

A few quick answers before you jump in.

Is this Discord chat maker free?

Yes. Writing, previewing and downloading the chat image are free with no account. Keeping it as a video uses a free FrameCompose account.

Does it look exactly like Discord?

No. It uses Discord-style colors in a simple chat-bubble layout. It does not copy Discord’s interface, usernames or profile photos.

Can I show a server channel with many people?

Not yet. The tool draws a two-person conversation, like a direct message. Pick the two people whose exchange carries the story.

How does the chat become a video?

Press "Make this a video". Each message becomes an image clip with a typing pause before it, placed in order on an editable timeline. Adjust the timing, add optional narration or music, then export.

Can I change a message after the video opens?

Yes. Use Edit conversation in the media bin to change a message. The affected chat images update and your timing edits stay where you put them.

Put your conversation on the timeline

Open your conversation as image clips and typing pauses on an editable timeline. Narration and music are optional.
